For the 4th consecutive year, the number of applications for registration of a Cyprus company increased by 2017, according to the Department of Registrar of Companies.

According to the records, the applications for registration of a new company were increased by of 0,93% in 2017, reaching 13,743 compared to 13,616 in 2016.

In 2015 the number of applications amounted to 11,306, in 2014 to 11,253 and in 2013 to 10.927.

Moreover, the total number of registered companies reached the highest level in one year at the end of 2017, at 217.893, compared to 208.493 in 2016, recording an increase of 4.51%.
